It’s been a year since I sat down at a desk in Virginia and first asked “What’s new?” Counting the miles I’ve traveled since, or stitches made (and un-made), posts written, comments gratefully received, couldn’t begin to measure how far this blog has taken me. (Not to mention the loads of laundry washed, weeds pulled, or books read.) Thanks for being here along the way.
So what's new?
They were shearing the sheep at Billings Farm yesterday. The lilacs were blooming and all but one of the lambs have been born.
We carded wool and watched the great wheel, and came home with grass stains and chocolate ice cream on our clothes.
The woods behind the house are green now, and full of jack-in-the-pulpits and other wild things. I’m meeting a new tree guy on Thursday, and just last week a single hosta leaf emerged along the front walk.
What's new with you?
