On the agenda today (besides a trip to the vet with the dog, a run to the grocery store, and, oh yeah, a couple of looming deadlines): paying a bit of attention to Six's scarf. Six, who waited patiently while the sisters' noodle scarves came off the needles, is now waiting for this:
It's a side effect, I guess, of being the youngest reader in a house full of them. Six caught Harry Potter fever early; he's been Harry every Halloween since he was three, and had been a dedicated Gryfindor until April, when it suddenly sank in (the details are murky, but it may have involved an older sister) [Warning -- plot spoiler] that Hufflepuff seeker and Hogwarts Triwizard champion Cedric Diggory actually dies in Book 4. This has necessitated the production of a Hufflepuff jersey (yellow T shirt plus black fabric marker) and, of course, the scarf.
So round and round I go. The pattern is based on this (thank you!), but adjusted a bit to work with the Micro Spun. Had to be washable and soft (Six is, after all, six). I can only hope he'll still be six when I finish this thing.
